I've read some older threads about the Rounded Template being with the fixed width, however newer templates these days are in responsive format and more flexible formatting will be required.
Assuming the answer is still to make necessary adjustments in the CSS oneself, Is there any plan on bringing in responsible layout to the Rounded Template in the future?
The rounded template is not responsive to widths. It was designed specifically for Joomlapolis and is provided as example for making your own CBSubs templates. Yes, it will be upgraded in the future to be more responsive to fit any size site, but I don't know when that'll happen at this time.
