This seems to be due to a race condition, where the subscription is set as being autorecurring, but the corresponding payment basket does not have a subscription id subscr_id memorized for it.
Which gateway was that subscription's basket paid with ?
Probably by clicking the "Change Logs" for that basket in the baskets list, and hovering the changes an explanation may be found for when the subscr_id got removed.
