I'm trying to give a 10% discount to users who have expired but want to become a member again. In the past these users may have been on ARB which did not allow renewals so I could not give them the 10% renewal discount I gave manual users.

In Promotions I see options for "Registrations", "Upgrades", and "Renewals. Registrations are described as new users, but these users will not be new - they will simply be requiring a new subscription since the ARB could not be renewed.

How would I configure the Promotion to give a 10% discount to users who were on ARB but are now required to expire and get a new subscription? Would I allow "Registrations" and then add a rule that there must be an Expired plan in existence for the user? Would that count or are "Registrations" for new users only?

Thanks

If they're subscribing to a new plan it'll count as Upgrades for existing users. If it's the same plan then Renewals. I would use Upgrades then have a condition to ensure it only applies to those with your old plan already expired if it's a new plan.

it would be same plan, but a new subscription as the last one expired - still a renewal?

If it's same plan in that scenario then it's always a renewal.
