Unable to find where the system is saving the approved field.

I have to make a small customizaton to CB because the client wants to have more status options than the three that are present.
We have modified the cb_core plugin to add the fields to the admin areas select list. they save and load without problem.
The problem is from the front end registration form. I need to know which file and line that the system updates the _comcomprofiler tables approved field because I need to set it myself manually.
