The recent CBSubs release did not touch CBSubs Stripe. It was a fix for PayPal redirect URL.

Unfortunately, we are still having the same issue via Stripe with our user's payment, note they are from India & require 3D secure authentication. It says the following via the Stripe dashboard (see images):
When I click Learn More on the Stripe dashboard regarding 3D Secure as per the image, it leads to this URL:  stripe.com/docs/payments/3d-secure#check-status

 

 

The user received this message on our site from CBSubs:
"Thank you for initiating the payment of USD XX.XX for the xxxxxxxxxxxxx for xxxxxxxxx using Stripe. Your payment is currently being processed. Thank you for subscribing to xxxxxxxxxxxxx. Please note, your payment is pending. You will have instant access as soon as your payment has cleared."

Please advise, this user is going to stop trying if we cannot get this figured out. They're doing everything they're supposed to do and it isn't there fault. But the 3D secure authentication is causing issues. Additionally, it shouldn't let the user get the above CBSubs message until the authentication is complete, so not sure why they even got that far? Thanks

They need to authenticate the 3DS. How that's done is entirely on their bank. Some are done with a text message, through banking app, etc.. Currently the payment is in a pending state waiting for them to finish 3DS. Once they do Stripe will push the payment through and notify CBSubs to complete the payment.

We're using their Stripe Elements API below. This doesn't require us to do any manual handling of 3DS. Stripe is supposed to be handling it and appears to be doing so in my tests.

I recommend using Stripe Checkout if you require SCA though (e.g. accept payments from India) as it can handle the workflow better in an isolated environment and is directly recommended by Stripe to do so for anyone requiring SCA.

I will review if there's anything further we're supposed to be doing immediately though as it's possible we missed a test case, but I had already tested every card type that Stripe provides for testing.
