Hello,
Occasionally, I get a request from a paying member to pay for another's membership. While I would like to allow this, it's too cumbersome to manually update a membership. Is there a way to allow this?
I don't want to ask for CC information to enter it myself and the receiving user should not share their login to achieve this.
Is there a way to forward an "invoice" or a link to pay for that subscription without logging in to that account? I have enabled PayPal and Stripe payment methods.
Thank you, I know this is a long shot.

Easiest way to do this is the CBSubs Family Plans integration. This will let a user share their existing subscription with another user. That's the only way I can think of to deal with that in an automated way. You'd have to do price adjustments, maybe use CBSubs Options to let them purchase "shares", etc..
I think the only other real alternative is the offline gateway. A user won't need to confirm a basket using the offline payment gateway (you could do this form them if desired) then manually send them an invoice from Stripe or PayPal and once paid activate that basket.
We do have plans to eventually support gift subscriptions, but I don't know when that will be implemented at this time.

Thank you. That's too much manual work for me to commit to.
I think for me the best option is to have them do a six months or yearly plan, I can do that.
You reminded me to work on the family plan, it's great for when I see people sharing a login. It's hard to tell a husband and wife to pay double.
Thank you,
Tomás
