hi team,

wanted to let you know there may be a bug in the payments, or of course i could have a setting incorrect. i've had multiple folks make purchases and although everything works correctly, their payments are duplicated in the payments portion of the cbsubs backend. there are several variables given my setup, so not sure if it's applicable to the setup or in general.

it seems to be when products are purchased simultaneously. in my case, they purchased 2 or 3 products with a discount code that was applicable to 1 or 2 of them. additionally, i'm using options for the pricing options (not sure if that matters. i'd imagine it is something like the promo NOT applying to all the products when being purchased together?

Were they actually billed twice or is there just duplicate payment records in CBSubs > Payments? One is a serious issue the other is potentially just a logging bug. Do they have different transaction ids? What payment gateway are you using?

No, this seems to be a logging bug only. The actual payment was correct & wasn’t double charged.

We don’t depend on it for actual bookkeeping, but would prefer if the numbers reflect accurately.

The “transaction ids” are the same, but they do have different “ids”.

Using Stripe & PayPal, but I’ve only seen the issue on Stripe so far.

For the Stripe payments doing this is there any similarity between them? All visa payments? Bank transfers? It shouldn't be possible for 2 payment rows with the same transaction id to exist unless they're state changes. You should be able to scroll the table to the right and check the notification and change log for those entries for a better clue of what's going on. If you can't find anything I can take a look for you if you PM backend super user login credentials and provide what usernames this happened to.

No problem, shot you PM. I see the same Item Number & even Payment Basket. The only thing that seems to be different is the far right "ID". These were all credit cards, not sure which type though, I was unsure how to see this from within CBSubs (I can check the merchant if you'd like though).

Ok, looks like it's just a double logging issue and only happens when multiple plans are purchased at the same time. Will investigate this further and find what's causing it. If those are a problem you can freely delete those duplicate payment rows from CBSubs > Payments by selecting them and clicking the Delete button at the top.
