Lost Password Functionality does not work

Hi,

I am using CB 1.9.1 with Joomla 3.2.1
Today I noticed that the lost password / passwort reset does not work anymore.

When one uses the "Forgot your password?" link it takes one to www.sitecom/index.php/component/comprofiler/lostpassword
When selecting "Lost password" and entering the user + email it forwards to www.site.com/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=userdetails&user=2762 with the following message:
"You are not authorized to view this page!
You need to log in."

No reminder email is sent. Notice that the number 2762 in the URL is the correct user ID (at least).

When I choose "Lost username" instead I get an email reminding me of the correct user name. The empty page that is displayed after doing this is www.site.com/index.php/component/comprofiler/done?Itemid=76

How can I get the forgot password functionality to work again?

I have the same issue. My site will send users the username as an email. The site will not send the password as email.

Joomla 2.5.18 CB 1.9.1

Same here joomla 3.3.0 CB 1.9.1

If anyone posting here can give clear instructions on how to replicate this issue on a clean CB 1.9.1 / Joomla 2.5.20 or Joomla 3.3 installation - please do - all my tests work.

I can give you access to my site if that helps? Problem is that a normal site is not a clean installation and has dependencies with a lot of plugins, updates...
I even get logoff problems that "sometimes" happen. I know that bugs that are not replicable are tough but they happen. At least the PW-problem happens allways.

I am almost certain something else you have installed is causing this.

Sorry, no time really to help you debug your issue.

Turn on Joomla debug at maximum reporting level to see if something helpful pops up.
Also check your server error log.

Finally try and disable all third party CB plugins and maybe even Joomla plugins.
