"you are already logged in" language file

Question #1: How exactly did you get the menu item url for the 'Create an event" menu?

This URL basicall take you to the CB registration form (not sure what you get with the extra &type=Event at the end.

But yes, if this page is to send people to the CB registration form, then it should not be clicked on by already logged in users. So the message is correctly displayed.

Regarding the menu item, it should really only be shown to Guest users, so if you are on Joomla 3.3 you should set this menu item from Public to guest, so it does not appear for logged in users.

The CB language string you found is the right one:

DEFINE('_UE_ALREADY_LOGGED_IN','You are already logged in');

and modifying it should change the text displayed, if there is no other language plugin kicking in.

In your

components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language

folder what exactly do you see?

perhaps that is it. I don't show a plugin folder in components/com_comprofiler/

Please look in your joomla root folder for:

components -> com_comprofiler and not in your administrator -> components area.
