Moderator Email Notifications Overloading mailserver

6 years 2 months ago #307897 by stephenvorwerk
After a new user is registered, when they click the activation link from their email, CB starts to send out emails to ALL registered members notifying them of the new user registration. We have hundreds of members, so this overloads my mail server and causes it to fail.

If i turn off the setting for moderator notification emails in CB Configuration -> Moderation, the problem is solved. It seems like there is a bug somewhere in the CB notification system, but I'm not sure why this would be happening. Any one have any suggestions?

If it's sending new user registrations to all users then you have all users configured to be CB Moderators. Adjust "Moderators View Access Level" accordingly in CB > Configuration > Moderation as it should be set as strict as necessary.
