migration to another hosting/site

Best,

Is there a possibility to transfer everything to the new site that is on a different hosting?
old site:
joomla version 3.10.11
php 7.4
cb version 2.7.3
new site:
joomla version 3.10.11
php 8
cb version 2.7.3

Best regards,
Erwin

If it's a straight move just download all your files and export your database then upload your files and import your database to your new host. You can try using Akeeba Backup to help with this as it can package an entire site for easy moving, but it's not really necessary for such a simple move.

Best,

Thanks for the quick response, I really just want to transfer the CB and keep the rest I'll install again
So do I have to do a fresh installation of CB and then restore the CB database?

Best regards,
Erwin

Yes if all you want to migrate over is CB. Migrating users is still a bit more complicated though and same for Joomla plugin and module configurations as most of that data is stored outside of CBs tables. Users for example their core is in _users which have associated usergroup mappings in the usergroups table, etc..
