When a new user registers for an account, they get the attached error:
This username has been used by someone else. Please choose a different username
This email is used by a different user account. Please use a different email
However, the new registered name or email doesn't exist.
Meanwhile, the user has been created successfully on the "User Management"
No such errors exist anywhere in CB. Scanned through Joomla 3, 4, and 5 as well and they don't appear there either. My best guess is you've a 3rd party Joomla User or System plugin doing something on Joomla user save process causing that. Suggest taking a look in System > Extensions > Plugins.
