Registered User cannot edit profile in front end

Joomla 5.3.1
DB: 8.0.41-32
PHP 8.1.32
CB: 2.10.0+build.2025.02.10.18.59.11.b0d14120b

• If I login as a REGISTERED user and go to the menu item to Edit My Profile, I am taken to the edit profile page, but no fields are editable.
• If I log in as a SUPER USER and go to that person's profile, I CAN edit their profile on the front end.

I have checked the fields and the configuration.

Is there another setting for REGISTERED USERS to be able to UPDATE THEIR OWN PROFILES?  I know this worked at some point, but it may have been back in Joomla 3.  I'm using a yootheme template, but I even tried to change the 'edit profile menu item' to be assigned to casseopia but it still didn't work.

In what way are the fields not editable? Are they all grayed out? Clicking the update button does nothing? No fields are visible at all? Clicking update button doesn't save and just sends back to profile?

1. when I try to edit MY profile, see the image: front-end-nonedit.jpeg
I click on 'edit' and 'nothing happens', although the url takes me to the profile-edit page, the fields are not editable (they are not grayed out), just look like read only
 

2. when I login as a SUPERADMIN, then go to someone else's profile, NOW I can edit their profile

Your first screenshot is profile view not profile edit. You may have a Joomla menu access issue causing you to go to the wrong page if you're not properly reaching profile edit. Try creating a Joomla menu item with a menu type for Community Builder profile edit page that's public and published and see if that fixes your issue.

i just tried as super user, the only problem is when I try to edit my own profile...
As you can see it's the same url, so it must be something else...

Anything else that I could have setup incorrectly?
