Profile Security was created by gravesie
Can some profiles be public and some be private? If so how could this be implemented please?

Thanks

Yes, use CB Privacy for this as it has been completely rewritten and comes with a Profile Privacy field now to control privacy of entire profile.

Thanks I am having a look around and can find how to allow access to every Profile and set it to Author only.

I have also found how to hide or show individual fields for all profiles in field management.

How can I set a single profile to be Public please?

CB Privacy is not usergroup or view access level based. If you want to limit the field to Authors you'll need to put it on a tab that has view access level set to Special or some custom view access level with only Author selected for it.

How can I set a single profile to be Public please?

Using CB Privacy navigate to CB > Field Management and enable the Profile Privacy field and set its default value to Private. Now edit the 1 user you want to be public and set their Profile Privacy to Public.
