"Button" Field Type was created by kj2012
First of all I have to say that I love CB. I'm hoping to become extremely proficient in it one day soon.

I'm looking for a way to create a "click here" type of button that will allow users, from their edit profile page, to click the button and either launch a "email form" or a Joomla contact form module. I automatically assumed this was an Auto Actions plugin feature or I would simply be able to accomplish this with a new field type, but so far, no such luck.

Any suggestions?

No, this is not an auto actions feature. Auto actions acts on CB triggers only, nothing more. You can use a delimiter field to do this by simply adding the HTML for it and have it link to a Joomla contact form or something of the sort. Example delimiter field as follows.
Code:
<a href="index.php?option=com_contact">Contact Us</a>
