When someone is choosing their county & state for the invoice the default is US (this is fine). However, when you click on the drop down list there are no states to choose from. The only way I can get the list of states to populate is to either A: choose another country then go back to US, or B: hit save, get the error message “you must choose a state”, then go back to the drop down.
Can you please let me know what I might be doing wrong?
It's a known bug. It's best not to set a default country that way they always have to select the country for the first time to avoid this issue.

You can adjust the default within CBSubs > Settings > Tax. If you're mapping the field from a CB field that is supplying a value that doesn't match it could possibly be causing this too. You can remove the mapping at CBSubs > Settings > Display > Invoices.
