Clicking on a user's name in backend in order to access the profile results in endless loading and finally a 504 gateway time-out. In frontend this happens when trying to edit a profile. Edit mode can't be accessed repectively results in a 504 gateway time-out.
Don't know what the issue is as this never happened since 2008.

Enable debug mode and maximum error reporting in Joomla global configuration (both very important). Once done please try to access profile edit again and see if the error exposes it self.
As it happens in backend and frontend profile edit it's very likely to be a CB plugin causing it. If you're using CB Conditional ensure you're not conditioning the CB Progress Field in profile edit as this can cause a problem.
