In the messages it is displaying a full url how can we remove/hide this when this is not part of the actual message?

Within UddeIM you need to enable full BBCode, which will translate the URL BBCode properly. You should be able to find this parameter within Components > UddeIM PMS > Messages > Allow BB code tags then set it to "yes".
