[SOLVED] Email functionality not working

Hello Team,


The email functionality is not working. I have tried the following :-

1) try to send emails from CB->User Management->mass mailer (Get an error:- Error sending email: Could not instantiate mail function.)

2)In Global Configuration tried with different options like SMTP, PHP EMail, Send email.

Test the Joomla Mass email to see if it is also not working.

If it is not you need to investigate.

Nope - that is not what you tried in Step 1.

Test if your Joomla Users -> Mass Mail Users and see if things work.

If they do not then there are issues with your localhost emailing facilities.

I changed my mail settings to use SMTP, so the emails are flowing now.
