Registration Emails not being received

Hi Guys,

Working on a brand new site locally and for some reason registration emails don't seem to be going out... self-checked on a couple emails personally. Is this because I am working locally? I seem to remember local testing multiple sites before but the emails always were sent out.

Any idea why this is happening?

Yes!
Most likely it is because your local environment server is not configured for emailing.
Not sure I can help with this - maybe you can just use an external smtp connection to your google account to bypass this.

Thanks for the info Nant. Haven't really got a chance to check it out yet, but I'm sure that's what it is - or something in that ball park.

Will give tested outcome once I get a minute.

You can verify by testing the Joomla mass mailer on your local site.
