[#6166] AVS Authorize.net was created by MAYASIMA
When AVS is enabled in Authorize.net, unlike the street address and zip code, it doesn't carry over the country from the invoicing page to the payment page. How can I resolve this?

Thanks,

Sima

The country from the credit card is sent as part of the billTo API call. Don't see anywhere that we send the invoice address as part of the API calls, but strictly credit card address information. Is no country preset at all in Authorize.net for the purchase or is it just not the country value expected?

I didn't mean in regards to the API call. It is when a new user registers and reaches the credit card payment page (authorize.net), the street address and zip code previously entered as the invoice street address and zip code automatically are populated as the credit card street address and zip code. However it doesn't do this for the country. As a result the user has to select his country again regardless if he had it selected previously as the invoice country. it is an inconvenience. It is possible that the client uses a different invoice address than for his/her credit card address but it makes it more user friendly if the values are carried over. I believe that was the intent anyway since it works like that for street and zip code.

Ok, then there's likely just a mismatch of what we send and what Authorize.net expects for the country value. Have added a bug ticket for further investigation.
