Forgot password auto email not working

Hello,

We have a lot of members who complain that the "forgot password" button doesn't work (like they are not receiving the automated email with a new password).

Do you know what could be causing that? Is there anyway to know if it's malfunctioning or if it's just the users email blocking it?

Have them check their spam folder. Otherwise check your server mailer log (if you don't have access to it contact your host) to see if any outbound emails failed. Are you able to confirm there's a problem with it in your own tests? Is there anything in common with the email addresses failing (e.g. same domain)?

It works fine for us which leads me to believe it's just going in their spam. I will have our guys check the server mailer log to see if they can find anything.
