I was wondering if it were possible to have a single select as part of the subscription method, and then when a user pays for their subscription they get put onto the appropriate mailing list based off this?
It's possible to subscribe them to an AcyMailing list based off a field. You'll need to use CB Auto Actions for that with trigger set to onAfterUserRegistration then under Conditions condition against your select field (e.g. [cb_newsletter] Equal To newsletter1). I'm not sure how you want to connect it to CBSubs though. You can hide fields based off plan selection under the Workflows of your tab, but that's about it as far as plan interaction during registration.
