When a user watches own profile or profile of users, the menu above the avatar is gone... I mean the menu where you can update your profile, manage the connections and so on...
How can that be, what can be do?
OK, problem solved.
The menu breaks, when canvas background picture is disabled / not shown.
The canvas layout is designed in a way that the canvas background is basically mandatory. I don't recommend using the canvas layout if the canvas field isn't always available. I have not tested it or designed the CSS in cases where canvas is not displayed.
