We found an error in the .htaccess record, somehow this had reset itself back to the default setting that was blank without the exceptions required to run the CB Connect settings, this has now been corrected and this case can be closed.
Its a matter of searching through the hay stack for the needle causing the issues, why this happened this time i am not sure.
