So, it looks like I had the "Allow Free Subscription" all along when I was running into the problem of a user who is already in the system from being able to accept a share membership. Is this then issue that you were referring to in the earlier discussions?

Then it should not be possible for a users account to be blocked upon login without a subscription. Do you have an auto action configured that could be blocking them?

No auto actions. But let me try again and see. I've created a free plan since the last time I tested to see if that changes anything.
