It's the same as creating a user from backend so yes emails will send. If the imported user requires confirmation they'll be sent pending email otherwise welcome email is sent. You can temporarily turn off CB emails within CB > Configuration > Integrations before importing if you don't want it to send emails. Importing a user through CB > User Management won't give them a subscription so no it won't send CBSubs emails.1. When users are imported do any email notifications get triggered or is is a silent process? I have set up email messages within each subscription plan, so unsure if they get triggered on import.
The password will be randomly generated and included in the welcome email.2. If a user is added, how would does the password aspect work (Do they automatically get created or would they simply have to go through the "Forgot Password" process?
That'd likely be the easiest approach.3a. Is the easiest way to add users to use the import feature and add them manually?
Not sure what you're asking here. Yes, if you need a plan to control access you should create it in CBSubs.4. If I want to offer a free (but limited) access plan, I take it I should create it as a plan since CBSubs handles the access part? My thinking here is possibly get users to self-register to the free plan and then I manually (numbers are small) "upgrade" them to the appropriate paid plan.
