cURL likely isn't setup properly on your host. CB shouldn't be using the StreamAdapter. It's a fallback in Guzzle that is only used if cURL isn't enabled. The StreamAdapter in our version of Guzzle is not PHP 7.x/8.x ready, but that's ok since it ideally should never be used. Recommend contacting your host and ensuring they've PHP installed properly with cURL.
