[SOLVED] Renewal notices was created by bizguy
I have a situation where members renewed their annual membership in Dec. 2021 (they can renew 2-months in advance), but are now getting notices that they need to renew for 2022. The site does not use a Cronjob to send notices.

Questions:
  1. Where can I empty the queue of pending notices?
  2. I have removed the renewal message, so the system should not be generating any new notices, is this correct?
  3. Why were system-generated emails sent in 2022, to someone that renewed in Dec 2021, for the year 2022?

Thanks,
Ed

I think I may have created this issue myself.

I had set up an initial plan that needed to be changed for tax processing reasons. I created a new plan and configured the old plan to not allow renewals, but required an upgrade to the new plan.

While this worked as intended, it seems the old plan was sending out the expiration notices to users that had renewed under the new plan.

I have now removed the renewal email sending in the old plan as well as the new plan.

So further to my previous query, where might I look for renewal notices that may still be cached to send?

Thanks.

Are you using CBSubs Mailer to send the emails? That's the only reason I can think of why such an email would be sent and it'd likely be due to a configuration problem in that mailer.

Yup, that'd certainly do it. The plan functions normally still but doesn't allow new purchases so its emails will continue to work. Moving emails to CBSubs Mailer would make the process easier since you can account for those situations.

Plan emails don't have an email queue like CBSubs Mailer so emptying the parameters should be all you need to do.
