I have fixed mine through a very elaborate method that I doubt will help anyone else but what is helpful that I did learn is that on my DB the offending tables are never made so there is no way to apply the fix. The tables are _cbsubs_notifications _cbsubs_payments and _cbsubs_payment_baskets. The work around I used involves removing strict mode from mysql so I won't recommend it.
You shouldn't need to disable strict mode. This usually happens on MariaDB when old default values are still being applied which limit the row size significantly. The below topic goes into greater detail regarding this.
