I have a strange behavior with CBSubs and new subscribers.
It seems like they are not approved nor confirmed even if the plan is set to confirm and approve the user after payment (overriding CB)
Stripe is set to accept payment even if payment is pending authorization, authorized or captured.
We did not change any settings since months in plans or Stripe gateway and noticed this recently with CBSubs.
A check on the dev website confirmed the same new behavior with a test gateway
I don't really know what is going on.
Mind to check or your test site or have a look at ours ?
CBSubs doesn't confirm or approve users automatically. Those settings decide whether the user should require confirmation or approval or neither. They're just plan specific overrides for your approval and confirmation settings in CB > Configuration > Registration. So if you set them to be after payment then you still need to approve their account after they confirm their email address.
