How to use CB Auto Action to run query that deletes rows from database

23 hours 59 minutes ago #343522 by RobertvanderHulst
I tried to use CB Auto Actions to trigger a delete query after a moderator logs in. This does not seem to work:

Type: Query
Trigger: OnAfterLogin - User: Moderators
Conditions: none
Action: contains the delete statements
Output: None
Uses stays zero, even when I logoff and logon as moderator

And is there a way to see if the query was actually executed in a log file or so?

Robert

Uses don't accumulate unless you've set a use limit. Your queries should be running just fine, but they'll only do so for frontend login. Enable debug under the Parameters tab of your auto action to see if there's any errors in your queries otherwise all error output is suppressed for actions.

Kyle,
Thanks for your reply.
When I enable "Debug", where can I see this?

If there are any errors they'll be output as Joomla message queue messages so they typically are at the top of the component area of your template. If there are no errors then it won't output anything. Are you sure your query is working? Have you tested it against your database using database management software (e.g. phpmyadmin)?

Kyle,
The query is working. I introduced an error (on purpose) and then I see the error message like you described.
Thanks

Robert

Are you able to provide what query you're trying to use? What exactly are you wanting to delete? If you see an error message by introducing an error that at least confirms your auto action is running.
