Strange issue with translations was created by Astrid
See this topic .
When searching for "Query" in cbquery language files in Transifex, it is translated nicely in Query.
When searching for "Query" in Language NL it results in "Vraag".

Did some digging and found this:

In CBQuery plugin this results in

Plugin language strings can be duplicates since they're completely independent plugins. Currently their language keys aren't unique to each plugin, but they will be in CB 3.x. So the way this generally works is as follows.

Plugin Loads > Plugin Lang Strings Load > Plugin Runs

So for CB Query Field to be translated properly it needs to be translated in /languages/nl-nl/cbqueryfield-language.php, which it's not in your above screenshot.

Translations are a community effort. We don't handle those ourselves (I only know English, sorry). So if it's not translated there's nothing I can do about that beyond joining Transifex and translating it. We'll be switching to a self hosted solution in the future and we'll be using AI translations to fill that gap and while not perfect it'll hopefully be better than nothing.

I'll be rebuilding all the language plugins this week so now is a good time to finish up any Transifex contributions. They've limited our API access so I have to do this manually. Once we move to self hosted we'll have this entirely automated.

Yes it is "translated".
As it is a technical term it should stay as it is.
But cb now uses the wrong translation "Vraag" which is, translated in English "Question".
I suppose that when you are looking for a query field you don't expect it to be named "Question".

I can't find aan option to join all Dutch Transifex teams. Seems like I have to join them one by one which is quite annoying. If not I would have already changed the 2 wrong translations.

Due to language strings duplicating it's possible for them to conflict like that. The real issue is it seams Query was translated incorrectly to Vraag.

I know and I'm sorry the platform is annoying. That's another reason why we'll be switching to a self hosted solution. Most likely Weblate.

The problem is indeed that some "translators" use a "shortcut" and simply use Google Translate.

For now I will create my own translations for missing frontend translations and set my backend language to English.

Thanks for your time.
