opensef plugin?

Does anyone know of a plugin that would force opensef to name user profile pages in a certain way automatically - eg. www.somthing.com/jim ?

Having sef urls for cb profiles would be a great way to get users to promote their own writings/art/music/etc, and would be great for creating a viral buzz for the site.

It would be great to be able to let users choose their cb profile url, so then they would go out and create lots of inbound links

this is already do-able:

Althougg this gives you a custom URL -- it doesnt provide SEF URLs -- just profiles.

ITs done with changes to htaccess

Thanks, that way works, but I'm hoping for a bit more. I'd like to have a field where users can choose their custom url, and then it is saved as a "friendly url" in open-sef. I'd be willing to pay for this feature. Anyone here think they can handle it?

are you using the joomlatwork joomla sef patch?
i think that functionality would be easier to integrate if using that patch.
