Hi,

I have the Privacy Plugin installed and working well.
I've configured it for certain fields: Phone, Address, etc and when the user opts to hide a certain field, it does the job beautifully - except for email addresses.

It still shows up in the profile, even if the user chooses invisible on profile.

Environment:
Joomla! 1.5.15 (legacy)
PHP 5.2.6
CB 1.2.1

Can't figure this one out.

Where exactly does is show up in profile?

Look at your CB Configuration General tab Email handling parameter. Most likely this is your issue.

Hi Nant,

Unfortunately, that's not really a solution.
The client wants user email addresses viewable in the user list. If I change the way email is handled in the "General" Configuration, it's global.

Meaning, if I truly want to hide a user's email address, all user email addresses are hidden. Or, if I choose to "Display Link to Email Form", other users can still send an email to a user who requests that their email address be invisible.

Or is there something else I'm missing?

Just tried things on my sandbox and everything is working as expected.

I have set the CB Configuration Email handling parameter to show email.

I have also specified via privacy plugin that email can only be viewed by connected users.

my sandbox site is located at:

www.joomlalab.com/sandbox/

login as adam/password to see email field privacy setting.

Then login as eve/password to see that eve cannot see adams email.
