Consider using the cbsearch plugin to the Joomla standard search system.
...the standard, and very comprehensive, but ugly, standard CB search facility...
Agree, we got several complaints about the comprehensive, but not easy to work search option on the newer CB incarnations.
Our users (in a 600 member closed user community) would appreciate a Google-like search option, instead the complex query mask.
