Should CB and CBE work together?

I would like to know users' an developers' opinions and comments.

i don't think so.
because it's rather different.
the split is around the beta 4 (then there was RC1, RC2 and 1.0).

But i have no news from Mr Jeff from CBE.
Don't really know what is the state of the project

Have you ever heard the expression "If something ain't broke, don't fix it?" Sometimes the addition of a new band member ultimately causes the band to break up, for example.

Well, CB is working great...they have a nice team, so there's no reason to add CBE.

This has been discussed before.
If anyone want to hear my opinion he is free to PM me (will not start a public debate).

For the general public the position statement issues by the CB Team ( www.joomlapolis.com/content/view/13/37/ ) says it all.

CBE is virtually dead. I have been following both sides for a long time. The most activity on mambome.com's forum is spammers. Files arent hosted on their site. Their new joomlahive.com site has been promised to open for months but hasent.

Files are hosted on www.kolloczek.com with a HUGE member support of 300 and 1291 on mambome.

Not sure why this is being discussed or what there is to be discussed except that Phil_K and MrJeff should suck it up and help the real CB out.

all i use is a few of there modules like random profile and such :side:

That statement from the team does not address CBE specifically. The reason this is confusing is because when you install the Joomla - SMF - CB plugin / bridge - you have the option of CBE for the login under the configuration page.

I'm assuming if it's a new install CBE doesn't exist ?
