Adding links to CB items in mainmenus was created by Tim_Myth
I'd like to make some of my CB items publicly viewable, but I'm having troubles understanding how to add links to things like Blog lists, forums, etc. to my main Joomla menu. I'm sure this is easy and that I'm just being obtuse, so can someone help me?

If it's a link to joomlaboard or mamblog, make it a component link. If you're looking to create a menu item that is inside CB -- like "edit my profile" or a member list, the easiest way is to create a link/url menu item and paste the url of the comprofiler page into the link box. Hope this helps.

I know it's a very rudimentary question, but I still cannot figure it out.

I want to add a mainmenu item called "Forum" and link it to the CB forum. When I added the menu item and typed in the URL as "cb.simpleboardtab", I get the following error message:

Object not found!

The requested URL was not found on this server. The link on the referring page seems to be wrong or outdated. Please inform the author of that page about the error.

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.
Error 404
localhost
09/03/06 22:16:32
Apache/2.2.2 (Win32) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.2 OpenSSL/0.9.8b mod_autoindex_color PHP/5.1.4

What am I doing wrong? Do I have to install SimpleBoard separately? I had phpBB installed, but I don't want to use that anymore because I want better forum integration with the rest of the site.

Sorry if it's a dumb question. I am very new at CB and Joomla!.

I just need to link a mainmenu item to a CB plug-in, but when I create a new menu item and point to a component, I don't have a choice in selecting a particular plug-in, but only the CB Component.

Do I need to install Joomlaboard first? I am still confused.

Yes, to link to something, it must be there before a link can be created.

You could just copy the URL of what you want to link to and then do a URL link in the main menu.

CB/Joomla golf site: www.thegolfspace.com
Geek/joomla site: www.tkserver.com

Check out my Joomla/CB projects:

* LIKE thumbs up system for "liking" content items
* Karma - CB user rating system
* Golf Score Tracker
* Jitter - status update system. "What's on your mind?"
* CB Author Plug - Shows CB author link and avatar in content items. J1.5 compatible and very customizable!

Found on my web site or in the Joomlapolis Directory !
