Can this Mamblog hack work with CB?

On the support board for Mamblog a poster uploaded a zip file which details the changes a user needs to make to Mamblog 1.0 in order to enable front end category selection. Here is the thread:

This would be a great feature if it allows users to organize their blogs by month, topic, etc. And better yet would be if the users CB profile could not only show blog posts but the users blog entries by month, topic, etc. Will this allow users to create their own categories or only sort by categories an administrator has created?

I am not a programmer. Can someone look at this code to see if it could be made to work with CB's member profile display structure.

Well I'm interested but I can't help, not much in way of php dev. I usually have my hands full just trying to get polished components and modules integrated together problem-free

Does anyone happen to have this hack/file still available? I know it's old, but I need it,and jxdevelopment is down!
