CB Public Mail "not compatible" was created by eriknz
In Joomla 3.4.1 the CB Public Mail plugin 1.4 gives message "this plugin is not compatible with your current CB version". I run CB 2.09.
Anybody any idea why? Is this plugin discontinued?
Is there an alternative to get public site visitors able to email registered users?

Hi! A few months ago I had the same question. As I understood it's no more compatible.
But I also need it... People told me to look for anything else and modify a little bit the code in the template to insert it in the user profile.
But still I didn't do that, because not much experience.

So if you find out how to resolve this problem - let me know, I would be glad =)

I hope somebody more knowledgeable than us will respond to this. I really need this function too. In CB configuration -> general the setting "Public email form" is set to "Yes". So what does that mean when it doesn't work? And why would you need the CB Public Mail plugin anyway? It does not make sense, while this ability for public to email registered users should be an obvious feature that many websites need.
Cannot find any solutions in any forum.
Will post here if I find a solution.
