dynamic tab name

Is it possible, from within the plugin, to dynamically allocate a different tab name, say:

"My groups" - when I'm visiting my own profile
"Groups" - when I'm visiting somebody else's profile

As far as I know: No, but you can get the same effect by doing the following:
-use language file to define the title for "groups"
-in plugin "onBeforeProfileView" change the language constant to "my groups" if the userid is $my->id
