Profilebook - multiple comments for each user

Hi.

AFAIK profilebook allows users to basically sign a 'guestbook' on a users profile. they can edit and reply to user comments but they can only add one comment per profile. unless it is your own profile.

I am trying to change the functionality of it so it is more like the normal social networking comment systems such as that on myspace/facebook/bebo etc. meaning that users are able to comment as many times as they like on any profile or have the option so that users can only comment on peoples profiles whom they are connected with. This would give it a more conversation like feature. so users can 'chat' to each other.

Ive looked through the code for the check:

if user has already commented --> dont show the submit form.

any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Did this ever get sorted.
I have been sat looking through the forum for the last few hours and cannot find a topic that seems to relate to this issue being resolved.
I know my users would love the ability to communicate with each other via this plug in.
If anyone can art least pointy e in the right direction i would be extremely greatfull.
