GalleryTab - Joomgallery User categories

Does anyone knows how can I able/disable joomgallery categories in the GalleryTab for some users and not for others?
Can I give access to a joomgallery photo category only to one user?

I am really happy with the GalleryTab plugin and don't want to search for another gallery to assign to users profile.
If it is not possible, can anyone help me changing the code?

I need something similar: how can I restrict uploading of new images into a category to the only user who created that category? Is that possible?

The first step is to enable or disable certain global restriction in joomgallery.

Then in the admin section of community builder you can assign permissions based on lists.

That said I have a question for you

I'm using GalleryTabs4 with Community Builder and Joomgallery.

I've had great success in hacking the gallery view for profiles.

However my needs require that I have a PORTFOLIO tab for displaying users categories.
(The Site is using an basic CB tab to display that info now)

Just the a text list of the categories. Preferably that list would also be links to each category.

I've tried to modify the gallery tab plug-in thus far with little success. Any ideas?
