i think that the links produced by the workflow module catch the wrong item id. it uses the one from the application link not the cb profile. the one given with the 1.2 version woks differnetly.
What is the application link? CB modules as far as I am aware will try to use the Registration menu link Itemid instead of the Profile Itemid if one is available. Removing the Registration menu link should resolve this.
