Please select a file before uploading

Hello!

Don't know why, but the avatars can't be uploaded.
After browsing the file location on the computer, I get the massage:
-Please select a file before uploading-

All the configuration is checked many times.
Interestingly that on my clone site on another hosting I don't experience this problem.
Permissions of the image/profiler folder is 777 (I have tried 755 also).

I can upload avatars from the backend only...

Ver 1.3.1 (didn't work on the previous though)
Joomla 1.5.22

Any ideas?

P.S. I have searched the forum and didn't find the solution.
