Session ID expired: Urgent help requested

Hello,

I have been struggling with this error for a long time which is not allowing users to register on my website. I have read through several posts and tried doing all I can including:

- Disabling Cache (Now enabled)
- Adding the 'www' lines to .htaccess
- Disabling AJAX username checker
- Deleting the spoof check lines from comprofiler.php
- Upgrading to CB 1.3.1
- Making sure that the server date time matched the one mentioned in the Global configuration
- Disabling SEF (Now enabled)

None of the steps seemed to work. Everything was working fine until I tried implementing the SEF functionality in Joomla. Ever since I tried so, this stopped working even though I later disabled it.

I shall be grateful if someone can help me solve the issue.

The Joomla version I am using is 1.5.9 and the PHP version is 5.2.14.

Session Save Path: None
Session Auto Start: 0

I cannot directly comment on your problem. However one response you'd certainly get is to please update to Joomla 1.5.22 which is the latest stable release compatible to CB.
Also, which Joomla or CB plugins do you have installed and have you tried disabling them to see if any of them break the sessions?

I am having the same problem, but it seems to be intermittent since I am getting registered users. I am using Joomla! 1.5.22 Stable, and PHP 5.2.15. I know there are some older threads about this but I haven't been able to fix this yet. My site is www.newagereefs.com . Earlier today some one sent me an email saying they were getting the error when they tried to register. I tried it from my end and got the same error. When I checked the CB database and tried again it worked. Any ideas?

rahulngupta - I successfully registered on your site - what did you do to resolve your issue, or is it still a problem?

I too need urgent help with the same issue you reported where CB is not allowing users to register on my website 'Session expired or cookies are not enabled'.
