Cant upload avatar

I am using Joomla 1.5 av CB 1.4, and my problem is that when a user tries to upload a avatar the page just turns white and nothing is happening. Also when i try to approve user avatars in backend the page turns blanc white(also when trying to upload in backend)
Anyone have a clue of what it can be? My permissions are setup correctly on the server.

Thanks but I dont get a solution to my problem there, would be nice if someone could explain to me how to resolve the problem if anyone now?

Can't help you resolve the problem if you don't provide debug information as instructed in the Help Us Help You article in the FAQ section.

Turn on debug and see if you get messages regarding problems.

Check your server error logs for issues.
