I'm working on a building a new site for my church and we already have an account with CCB (Church Community Builder).
I'm wondering if Community Builder for Joomla 1.5/1.6 has features similar to or even better than CCB that would work for us. It's a pain to have to iframe crap into a site.
Here's a list of what we need and you people who are so smart can tell me if Community Builder can do it:
Giving: track how much people tithe/give on a yearly/monthly basis
Gifts: track personal traits and skills that would indicate how well they'd fit in a giving ministry
Join group: ability to join or be placed certain groups for different areas to serve or have served
Events: list events that people have signed up for and attended and if they've paid for that event or not
That's about it. Other things we can do strait from Joomla itself like have a calendar and/or integrate directly with Community Builder and users.
The main thing here is to be able to track individual characteristics of people without THEM having to individually enter that information in. Meaning, there will be somethings that users will be able to control about their profile, but others that they won't even see but be tracked behind the scenes. (I know this may sound a bit creepy, but it's necessary for large organizations to track info like this sometimes).
