New Installation problem

Hello and thanks in advance for any help. My problem is this:

When I installed Joomla without sample content the CB login module works fine and shows up fine when the step by step details for 1.6 are followed. ( I found this out because I had issues with Joomla installed WITH sample data)
So I uninstalled everything started from scratch with a new data base and when I install Joomla with sample data then install CB I follow all the steps and still when I unpublish the Joomla login and enable the Cb login the module doesn't show up.
What am I missing ???

I do believe I figured this out. With the sample data installed I had to go to the modules and the one that I unpublished was still listed as an association of Joomla. I clicked edit then changed it to login page under Comprofiler. I dont believe this is clearly defined in the read me.

This is 100% joomla issue.

You need to publish your modules in a position that is supported by your active template.
