How to make a Field "Must be Unique", like email was created by ThomasQ

Hi all!

I'd like to know how to make a field Unique.. We use a SMS/Text verification system, and not email. We need to set our custom CB Field, CB Telephone, to be unique, so there are no dubbel registrations.. Anybody any idea?

I request this feature. Are there any plugin that check the database to avoid repeated values?
